ZUPANC, ZRIMŠEK, A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS

It is said a picture is worth a thousand words. Maybe a promise of a cold beer here and there or a unique sunset on Maldives. Thank god. At least there is no more feigned ignorance. Painting is just one more in an endless line of lame objects. It doesn’t adress anyone and in most cases evokes indifference in the viewer. It has no relevant place exept for occasionaly being a financial investement or an instrument for tax evasion on corporate profits. There are no more great themes, nothing sublime. Just a cold beer. Beautiful. An artist sits in his studio and paints. Whatever. Every move is expected and has it’s place even before it happens. It merges with all the rest in a wonderful wagnerian symphony. Software paints. Machines paint. Elephants paint. Human paints. A picture is worth a thousand words.
